Trip Meisenheimer at 30 weeks!!!

Well we went to Dallas this weekend and had our final sonogram. It was lots of fun and we got to get one last look at Trip before he makes his grand entrance. We were so lucky that Fred's parents and my parents were able to make the trip with us and get to enjoy it like we did. We had a hard time getting pictures of his face because he was very active and kept covering up his face and trying to hide from us. Also, while we were in Dallas we got a car seat and a crib mattress so we are slowly but surely having everything come together. We are having the bedding made and will get that ordered today which take 4-8 weeks to come in and we only have about 9 weeks left so we will be cutting it close :)! We know that Trip has 10 fingers, 10 toes and ALL boy and is very proud to be a little boy. He also has some here so it looks like he gets that from Fred because I was bald forever! Everything is still going great just trying to finish up everything around our house to get ready for him and hope that everything keeps going as wonderful as it has been. Keep us in your prayers that everything keeps going as wonderful as it has been! Here are a few pictures from the sonogram!

Party with Picassos

I was a celebrity this year in our local fundraiser from Women for the Arts called Party with Picassos. It is a fabulous party and lots of fun every year. What they do is pair a local "celebrity" with a local artist to paint a picture to be auction off to raise money for TRAHC. I had so much fun participating in this and I'm so grateful that they asked me to be a part of this wonderful event. It was super exciting and a great time. I am attaching a picture of Fred and I by my picture that was painted, one of me and the fabulous Kathi Couch (she was my artist and she is FANTASTIC) and one of me and Fred with my parentals. Hope you all enjoy!

Rivera Maya, MEXICO!

We took a trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico April 18-25 and had a great time. We called this our Babymoon because it is our last real vacation before Trip arrives. We had a great time and went with our best friends Blake and Jessica Rich. We had a great condo with great views and it was very relaxing. The swine flu did make its massive outbreak after we arrived but we are still swine flu free in June! While we were in Mexico Fred celebrated his 32nd birthday and I'm posting a picture of the cake and it was as yummy as it looked. I do have to saw since I was 5 month pregnant while we were there it is the first time I've ever been to Mexico and went the entire time without an adult beverage. It was relaxing and I did get the first 2 books of the Twlight series read and did get a tan! Here a just a few pics from the trip. Oh and the Beer Bucket is owned by Big Al Mack from Kidd Kraddick so me and Jess made a special trip to find his bar just so we could get a picture by the sign and she could get her dang t-shirt!!

We bought a CRIB!!

We made a really big step in getting the baby room ready on Monday evening and bought a Crib, Dresser and Hutch. This is like a huge step for us to actually get something done :)! I am super excited to get it home and set up to see what else I will need to get. First we have to get the flooring put done in the room but hopefully we will get that done soon. It is an Espresso finish and I LOVE it! It happens to be the first crib and dresser we ever looked at and it is what we ended up getting. When we get it home I will get some pictures of it up so everyone can check it out. Also, I got some super cute outfits in today for Trip from Ralph Lauren that have the GFM initials on them and they look just like something his daddy would wear. We have our shower on Saturday and I can hardly wait I am so excited. I will definitely update after that and post some pictures. Our next doctors appointment is June 22nd and they are going to run all the test for iron levels and check for gestational diabetes and all that good stuff so keep your fingers crossed that all that goes well!

George Frederick Meisenheimer III but we shall call him Trip!

So I've been trying to get the pictures to upload from our sonogram at 18 and 21 weeks but I seem to be having some complications with that. Anyways, we have decided on a name and we are naming him George Frederick Meisenheimer the III and we will call him Trip for short. This is the one thing we have had figured out for a while but everything else has not came as easy. We recently decided on how we would like the nursery to look so keep your fingers crossed that I can find all the fabric to make it all come together. We went back to the doctor this morning and everything is still going along just wonderful. On Friday (June 5th) we will only have 13 weeks left until my due date. It is crazy how fast this has all progressed but exciting at the same time. I'm going to have my baby shower on June 13th and I am super excited about that and to see what all little Trip gets. I'm sure this will put me in total baby mode. The end of June we are going to Dallas for another sonogram to see if Trip really does look like Fred or if maybe he has a little bit of me in him :)! Also, that weekend we plan to pick up all the nursery furniture so we are slowly but surely having it all come together. I haven't kept up with our blog to much because everything has went so well there has not been much to write. On another note Fred has decided that he is going to run a marathon in January so he has been getting geared up for that and doing a good job. Our neighbors have signed on to do this marathon also so that is keeping him on track to know someone has intentions of making him follow through. I will try to get some pictures from the baby shower and nursery up as soon as we get them and hopefully we can for sure get our next sonogram pictures to work. Until next time....

So behind

Well I have been pretty horrible at keeping this thing updated so I guess I will just spill it all right now. Everything is still going great with the baby and we found out the sex this weekend but we are waiting until Easter to announce it to the world so we can let Fred's family know when they are all together. We went to Dallas this past weekend and had a 4 D ultrasound and it was SOOO amazing. Fred swears that the baby looks like him already, but I was only 18 weeks and it still has a lot of developing to happen for we can have the true battle over who the baby looks like. While we were there we did get a video of the appointment and will post it on here later...it is crazy how much more you can tell in the 4 D from the 2 D. My sister and friend Stacy made the appointment so they got to see how amazing it was first hand. After our appointment we went shopping for me some maternity clothes...yes it is time for me to give in and just wear them..they are so much more comfortable. While we were shopping there was a lady in there that was 7 1/2 months pregnant and she was absolutely huge! This does have me a little freaked out because I don't know how you are suppose to get around at that point and she had 2 MORE MONTHS....I mean I wish you could understand. So I am a little terrified now of now only the delivery process but this growing process that I am only at the start of! While we were in Dallas we went to Ikea and picked out all of our furniture for the nursery and will post a picture of it after we reveal the flavor. So far all of our past doctor appointments have been great and we have a super strong heartbeat. We are planning to have the baby shower Saturday, June 13th as of right now. I'm excited that everything is coming together and been so wonderful. I feel God has truly blessed us with a wonderful blessing. On another note my 4 year old sister watched the video from my 8 weeks sonogram and told my stepmom the other day "Mom I have watched Cassy's baby video and I just know it is a boy because it doesn't have any hair and little girls have hair".....Check back soon to find out if Addison was right!!!!

Baby Meisenheimer's 1st Photo....and I think the baby already has Fred's head..haha!

Well the day of our first appointment FINALLY arrived and everything checked out wonderful. I must say I don't think I've ever had so much done to my body in one visit in my entire life. I mean its crazy all the things they put you through. We got to hear the heart beat which was just so surreal because it was like a moment of truth that there really truly is a baby in my belly. The baby was already moving all around during the sonogram so I think it is for sure a child of mine because it could not stay in one place. Everything is exactly right on track with is such a relief! The due date is still September 4th and we will go for our next appointment on February 23rd. Dr. Thompson did say she would like me know the sex of the baby before we go to Mexico in April so I'm looking forward to April now so I can finally buy something! It is making me crazy not being able to spend some money on my child because I can't settle for buying something unisex. Baby bean did receive their first gift from my lovely co-worker Amy. She got the baby pacifiers that said stud muffin and princess...they are the cutest things! Fred and I did decide after looking at the pictures of the sonogram that the baby already has a Fred head as he called it. So as of now it has my energy and Fred's looks..haha! That is about all that is going on as of right now. I will be sure to update whenever we find out anything else!

That thing they call morning sickness that I've discovered..yuck!

So I am now 6 1/2 weeks pregnant and been very optimistic that I was not going to get "morning sickness." Well, today is my first day to experience it and let me just say it has lasted all day long and been no fun! I do not like being sick at all so this has not been a fun day for me. My wonderful stepmom Kelly came by and brought me popsicles, ritz crackers, sprite zero, regular sprite, chicken noodle soup, unisom and tums...and let me just say those items have definitely been a lifesaver today. Now only if they would let me have some Red Bull so that I could half way have some energy. Everytime I get up its like I experience motion sickness or something. I just hope that maybe this goes away soon...because I have lots to get done. Anyways, other than that everything is still great...just can't wait from January 26th to get here....it seems like forever away. Hopefully it will not be to bad this weekend because we are going to the horse races and the last thing I want is to be sick. I hope everyone has a great day and we will be sure to let you know whenever something happens!

SURPRISE oh and of course HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well let me just start off by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and man have we started our new year completely different than EVER expected. Fred and I recently just found out we are pregnant with our first child...awe I know its precious! ;) Now here is how the beginning of my lovely lady bump will start. On December 3o, 2008 I took a pregnancy test on a whim and man was I flabbergasted by this little + sign that appeared on the test. After that appeared I ran an got the instructions to make sure that the + sign meant what I thought it meant. I was in serious denial that my + sign meant positive. After reading over the instructions and making sure I was reading everything correctly I called Fred at work and said "so I just took a pregnancy test and it just came back that I was pregnant." Fred thought for a moment that I was just playing some kind of joke on him but realized soon by the tone of my voice that I was not pretending like it was April Fool's Day. I told Fred to meet me at the house as soon as he could for lunch because I had to get a new test...I had for sure gotten a bad one out of the bunch the first time. Well this time I decided not to deal with + or - signs and go with something that digitally said PREGNANT and NOT PREGNANT....well I realized maybe that wasn't the best idea either because it quickly showed up pregnant. After that I made sure to take another one and well once again the same outcome. I think I have a serious problem because I was still pretty confident that EPT had made there first ever mistake with me and I was going to get rich from it because I had momentary suffering. So we called the doctor and got an appointment and they said my first appointment would be January 26th. Well anyone that knows me knows there is no way Cassy Meisenheimer can wait that long for the 'real' answer to her question. So on December 31, 2008 I call the doctors office back to tell them I must come in for a blood test as soon as possible to make sure that these home pregnancy test were correct. They assured me several times that if 3 test had come back positive I was pregnant and I reassured them that my 3 test were incorrect. So they got me in for a blood test that day while I had to patiently wait (which I'm so good at) for almost 2 hours for them to call and let me know that yes it was official...Fred and Cassy Meisenheimer would become parents. So much to our surprise we had a late Christmas present and a New Years present! We had no idea 2009 had such big plans for us! As of right now we believe we are 5 weeks along (as of January 2, 2009) and as I said earlier will have our first 'real' appointment on January 26th when we get to here the heart beat and bring a VHS tape. And about that VHS tape Fred is in complete denial that we can't just bring a CD because we don't even own a VCR and neither does anyone else these days! :) Also, as of NOW our estimated due date is September 4th. At this very moment that I'm writing this I am not sick just have some indigestion after I eat...but I can handle that. Hopefully this is as bad as it will get....right??? We will be sure to keep everyone posted and whenever we get pictures or information we will be sure to post it. Oh and little bitty baby Meisenheimer will be attending their first MAV's game this friday...so GO MAVS! I will TRY to send out emails when we update our blog. Well it is getting late and pregnant people get tired so I need to get to bed. Once again Happy New Year, Goodnight and PEACE OUT!!

ps- Fred has been excited since he saw the FIRST + sign! :) (he's so wonderful)
